What the Directory Is
Vitena is two-sided. Professionals run their practice on it, and consumers use it to find a professional and book directly. The public directory at vitena.care/find is where those two sides meet.
Visitors filter by discipline, country and city, specialty, language and consultation mode — online or in person. Each result links to your public profile, and every profile is bookable.
City and Country: Pick, Do Not Type
Location is the filter people use most, so Vitena stores it as a real place rather than a line of text. You pick your country and then your city from a searchable list; the list is accent-insensitive, so typing turkiye on an English keyboard finds Türkiye and bogota finds Bogotá.
This matters more than it sounds. When a city is a typed string, the same city ends up in several spellings and each one becomes its own dead end in search. When it is a chosen place, everyone searching that city finds everyone working in it — and a search for a metropolitan area also returns the districts inside it.
- Open Settings → Business Profile
- Choose your country, then start typing your city and pick it from the list
- Add the rest of your address as free text — it is shown, never parsed
- Save; your directory listing updates right away
Tips
- If your city looks wrong or missing in the directory, it is almost always because it was inherited from an old free-text address — re-pick it from the list
- A clinic with several locations can set working hours per location
What Makes a Listing Work
Four fields do most of the work in whether a visitor stops on your card:
- Specialties — chosen from Vitena's multilingual specialty list, so a search in any language matches you. If yours is missing you can suggest it
- Languages you consult in — a real filter for people looking for their own language abroad
- Online or in person — offering online consultations makes you reachable outside your city
- Photo and about text — the two things a visitor actually reads before booking
Beyond the Directory: Search Engines and AI Assistants
Your public profile is not only a page inside Vitena. It is rendered server-side, which means search engines and AI crawlers read the full content rather than an empty shell, and it carries structured data describing your discipline, location and services.
In practice that means the profile you fill in here is also the profile that can surface in a search engine result or in an AI assistant's answer when someone asks for a professional in your field and city. Filling in specialties, languages and an about text is the same work for all three surfaces.
