What Is the Supplement Catalog?
The Supplement Catalog is designed to help dietitians manage the vitamins, minerals, and supplements they recommend to clients in a professional way. During a session, you can quickly pick a product and recommend it to the client.

Comprehensive Product Cards
Capture everything you need for each product:
- Product name, brand, category
- Dosage information (e.g. "2 capsules per day")
- Detailed description
- Product image (URL with preview)
- Price and currency
- Purchase / affiliate URL
Category Management
The category system uses autocomplete — pick from existing categories or type a new name to create one on the fly. Typical categories: Vitamins, Minerals, Protein Powders, Omega-3, Probiotics, Herbal Supplements, etc.
Multi-Currency Support
If you work with clients from different countries, showing prices in the right currency matters. Vitena supports over 40 currencies, covering Europe, Latin America, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific — euro, dollar, pound and lira alongside the Mexican, Colombian, Argentine, Brazilian and Chilean currencies, and many more.
Your currency is pre-selected from the country you signed up in, so most people never have to change it. You can adjust it any time under Settings → Business.
Earn Extra Income via Affiliate Links
Attach a purchase URL to every product — an Amazon Associates link, iHerb, a local e-commerce store, or the brand's own affiliate program. When a client clicks through and buys, you earn a commission per your agreement.
This creates a sustainable extra income stream for dietitians and requires no manual tracking — the links run through your own affiliate platforms.
Recommend During Sessions
Inside the Session Workspace you can recommend products directly to the client. Recommended items show up:
- In the "Recommended Supplements" tab on the client profile
- As an extra section in the session report PDF
- In the Client Portal where the client can access them
Management Features
- Active/Inactive: Hide products temporarily (soft toggle, instead of deletion)
- Search: Debounced search by product name
- Filtering: Filter by category
- Pagination: 12 products per page
Tips
- Set discontinued or no-longer-recommended products to "Inactive" — the list stays clean but past records are preserved
- Maximize affiliate earnings by tracking seasonal campaigns and adding new products
