Disciplines and Modules - One Platform, Many Professions

One platform for six health disciplines — the core is shared, the workspace follows your profession.

Which Disciplines Vitena Supports

Vitena is built as a multi-discipline health and wellness platform. Six professions have a dedicated module today, and any other health or wellness professional can work on the shared core:

  • Dietitians and nutritionists — the nutrition module: meal plan builder, recipe database, food search, supplements
  • Dentists — examination and treatment records, treatment plan with per-procedure pricing
  • Physiotherapists — assessment notes and progress tracking, ODI and similar scales
  • Psychologists and counsellors — session notes, PHQ-9, GAD-7 and WHO-5 screening scales
  • Beauty and aesthetics professionals — consultation records, Fitzpatrick skin typing
  • Child-development specialists — developmental intake and M-CHAT-R screening
  • Other health and wellness professionals — the full core, with your own custom fields and forms
You choose your profession in the first step of onboarding. Everything downstream follows from that answer.

What Is the Same for Everyone

The parts of the product that do not depend on the profession are identical in every discipline, and they are the majority of Vitena:

  • Appointments and calendar, online and in-person
  • Your public profile, 24/7 online booking and the directory listing
  • Client records, custom fields, measurements and progress
  • Consultation notes with file and photo attachments
  • Client forms and questionnaires
  • The client portal
  • Branded PDF reports
  • Payment tracking, team seats and roles

This is deliberate. A mixed clinic — a dentist and a physiotherapist under one roof — runs on one shared client list, one calendar and one set of business settings.

What Adapts to Your Profession

Four things change with the discipline you choose:

  1. Note types — a dentist gets Examination and Treatment, a psychologist a Session Note, a dietitian a Meal Plan entry
  2. Form templates — you see only the questionnaires and clinical scales that belong to your field
  3. Specialties — the specialty list on your public profile is drawn from your discipline
  4. The discipline module — the nutrition module for dietitians, the treatment plan for dentists, and so on

Different Disciplines in One Clinic

In a clinic the discipline is set per practitioner, not per business. A clinic can employ a dietitian, a dentist and a psychologist, and each one sees the workspace their own profession needs while sharing the clinic's clients, calendar and branding.

The business administrator assigns each colleague's discipline and modules from the team screen. Someone who works across two fields can hold more than one.

  1. Open Settings → Team
  2. Choose the team member
  3. Set their discipline (and any additional disciplines they practise)
  4. Save — their workspace, note types and form templates update immediately

Perguntas frequentes

Yes. Your discipline is a setting, not a one-way decision. Changing it updates your note types, form templates and specialty list; your existing clients, appointments and notes are untouched.

Yes. Choose "other health and wellness professional" and you get the full shared core — appointments, clients, notes, booking, portal, reports and the directory. You will not get a discipline-specific module, but you can build the fields and forms you need yourself.

No, and that is intentional. The nutrition module belongs to nutrition professionals; other disciplines are not shown tools they will never use. Dentists get treatment records and a treatment plan with per-procedure pricing instead.

Yes. A practitioner can hold more than one discipline, and the workspace offers the tools of each.
